Licensing the ASWv6 software once it has been installed on your system is very easy.
- From your ASWv6 server, run the ASW Server Software. Start->Programs->ASW Apparel Software->ASW Server Software
- Select Maintenance->License
- On the bottom of the window, click where is says "Click here to add your license information to the Cut/Paste Clipboard.
- Press the cancel button.
- Exit the server software.
- At this point you have all of your license information ready to be e-mailed to the license server. If you have an e-mail program with internet access installed on the server, skip to step 8.
- At this point you must create a text file that can be used by another computer to e-mail to the license server. Run the notepad program by selecting start->programs->accessories->notepad. Once the notepad program is running, press ctrl+v to paste the license information onto the screen. Select File->Save As and save the file as license.txt in the ASWv6 directory (E:\asw6?).
- Run your e-mail program. Send an e-mail to sales@apparelsoftware.com , in the subject of the message put ASWv6 License. In the body of the message you may either press ctrl+v to paste in the license information if you are on the server OR attach the license.txt file that you created earlier. To attach a file stored on the server, use the pull down drive selector to select network neighborhood, then select your server computer, then the ASWv6 share, then the license.txt file. If there are any changes to be made to the license, for example to increase the maximum number of users or the e-mail return address, make notes at the bottom of the body of the message.
- Send the e-mail message to support@apparelsoftware.com.
- You will receive an e-mail message back with your "temporary license" shortly. This temporary license is good for 60 days and the number of users desired.
- You will receive your "actual license" once all appropriate license fee's have been paid.
